my story
I was born and raised in the concrete jungle in Tokyo in a big family, with two younger brothers, parents, and grandparents.
I studied broadcasting at university, and after graduation, I worked as an agent/manager for actors and actresses and devoted three years to the entertainment industry in Tokyo.
I flew on a working holiday visa to New Zealand, which I had visited on a business trip for his previous job. From the day of arrival, I fell in love with New Zealand.
I worked as a tour guide/driver and a coordinator for Japanese students and TV crews for about four years in Auckland and returned to Japan during the pandemic.
In 2021, I completed a certified course for a Japanese language teacher and started teaching Japanese online and in-person lessons.
In February 2024, I returned to New Zealand and began my life as a university student for the first time in decades.
My story
東京のコンクリートジャングルで、2人の弟、両親、祖父母の大家族の中で生まれ育つ。
大学でテレビ制作を学び、卒業後は東京で3年間芸能マネージャーとして働く。出張で訪れたニュージーランドに興味が出て、退職後ワーキングホリデービザで渡航。到着したその日から、ニュージーランドが大好きに。
4年ほど、オークランドで観光ガイド/ドライバー、留学コーディネーター、撮影コーディネーターとして働き、パンデミックを期に日本に帰国。
2021年に日本語教師養成講座を修了し、オンラインと対面レッスンで日本語レッスンを開始。
2024年2月よりニュージーランドの首都ウェリントンにある大学で、のんびり何十年ぶりの学生生活を満喫中。
